Well, Zachary has been running a fever off and on for a couple of days now. He has no other symptoms except for EXTREME whininess, fussiness, and he has been super, super clingy. Two nights ago he also didn't sleep very well and woke Mommy up about 20 times throughout the night (I think he wanted to give me some practice for December). The only other thing that has been noticeable is that he is super slobbery, so I am chalking this all up to teething...AGAIN! I feel like every time there is something wrong with him I blame it on his teeth. Hopefully he'll let me take a good look in the next couple of days so that I can see way back in the back and decide if that truly is what is wrong with him. If it is teeth, that means he is getting his 2 year molars pretty early! If it isn't teeth, then it must be something wrong with his ear/ears and I am probably a bad mother for not taking him to the doctor.
Zachary, despite his whininess, is still USUALLY a joy to be around and his vocabulary continues to expand at an exponential rate. He enjoys telling us everything he sees and that he is doing. One of his favorite things to say is "yay, did it!" He also loves to say "happy, happy birthday!"...thank you Dora the Explorer. He knows all his colors and shapes and still really enjoys counting. He is definitely getting more interested in letters, so we are going to be working on those in the next couple of months. He is still a SUPER big daddy's boy, but seems to be having extreme separation anxiety from both of us. It is a hard stage, but I have high hopes that he will outgrow it in the next couple of months. Okay, so what else? He is OBSESSED with school buses, trucks, airplanes, and helicopters right now. He can seriously spot things in the sky before Scott and I see them...it is very impressive. He is not eating as well as he was (teething?) but continues to have a decent appetite and still always wants a drink. I know there is more, but I will have to do another post later.
